Head Coach, Ryan Mansfield, is entering his fourth summer with the Nevada Griffons and his third as Head Coach. Mansfield will work with the Griffons in all aspects of the game but will primarily focus his efforts on working with the hitters, catchers, and outfielders. Coach Mansfield comes to the Griffons from Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, KS. During his six year stint at FSCC, Mansfield was instrumental in two major rebuilding efforts.

The first rebuilding effort began in the fall of the 2005-06 season. After seeing several sub .500 seasons, the recruiting efforts covering several states including Kansas, Misouri, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Arkansas finally paid off. Over the course of the next two years, the Greyhounds posted 35 and 37 win seasons catapulting them to the Jayhawk Conference Tournament in Wichita, KS for the first time in more than half a decade. In addition, players from the 2005 recruiting class went on to play at numerous high profile programs including Kansas State, Bradley, Missouri, and Arkansas State.

The second rebuilding effort came in 2008 with a coaching change and a complete reconstruction of the Greyhound Program beginning with facility maintenance. Mansfield was a major contributor in several key projects helping the Greyhound Program build one of the most complete baseball facilities in the Midwest. Facility upgrades included a complete resurfacing of the infield and outfield playing surfaces and a refurbishing of the team's indoor facility, which included turf and hitting background. After resuming his recruiting efforts in 2009, Mansfield helped the Greyhound Program gather the players it would need for its first 40+ win season in 2011. It was the first in more than a decade, and the second highest win total in FSCC baseball history. Also in 2011, the Grehound squad would see increases in batting average, runs, hits, doubles, RBI's, slugging percentage, and stolen bases from 72 to 139. Off the field, Mansfield has had the opportunity to work with 18 Academic All-Americans, 10 Distinguished Academic All-Americans, 10 All-Region, 37 All-Conference, and more than 45 Division I and Division II players.

In addition to his duties at Fort Scott Community College, Mansfield has been an associate scout for the last five years with the Boston Red Sox and is now currently working for the Baltimore Orioles. Mansfield has had the privilege to work with over 16 players who have gone on to play professional baseball.

Before coaching, Mansfield played one year at Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas before transferring to William Woods University in Fulton, Misouri. Mansfield graduated in 2005 with his degree in Pre-Law after being named an Academic All-American and distinguished scholar.

Mansfield is a native of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He is the son of Ed and Connie Mansfield.

Assistant Coach, Justin Parrish, joins the Nevada Griffons as the pitching coach for the 2011 season. Coach Parrish is a native of Rainier, Oregon. He just finished up his 4th year at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, Oregon as the pitching coach. Parrish works with the infielders and outfielders defensively at Southwestern Oregon as well as recruiting many of the players.

Coach Parrish had a successful playing career which started at the University of Charleston, West Virginia, where he was in the starting rotation for Coach Tom Nozica and the Golden Eagles for two years. Justin then transferred toMissouri Western State University and played his final two years for Coach Charles "Buzz" Verduzco and the Griffons. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in sports management with a minor in business.
